Stockholm International Competition 2012-05-18 From: Karl Efter att ha kommit till fel museum tre gånger kastade jag mig in i en taxi, med en mycket välorienterad chafför, som snabbt körde mig till rätt museum, mitt igenom alla 17-maj parader. Jäkla norrmän... Med andan i halsen registrerade jag mig och lyckades få till en kvarts övningstid på helt fel, men mycket bättre flygel. 20 minuter senare var det soundcheck, och direkt på det spelade jag för juryn. Årets rookie 2012-04-29 From: Felix Bild på Quartet Epsilon efter en femte plats i finalen av Scandinaviens enda Barbershop tävling. Extra nöjda var vi för att vi fick priset "rookie of the year". Konsert i Mariakyrkan 2012-04-05 From: Felix Idag spelade jag tillsammans med pianisten Jonathan på Skärtorsdagsmässa i Mariakyrkan. Här kommer ett smakprov i form av Vocalise av Rachmaninov. I publiken återfanns kändisar som kusinerna Ofelia & Ossian. Nyårskonsert i Vänersborg! 2012-01-15 From: Karl Gerhard Det blev succé när Vienna återkom för 2:a året i rad. Ensemblen, som bestod av Hercules Quartet och Johan Reis, bjöd på både Tango av Piazolla och Vals av Strauss. Solisterna bestod, som förra året av Sopranen Kristina Jenneborg och Tenoren Jonathan Ingvald. De bjöd på bland annat Nattens Drottning och När Kärlek vaknar ur Trollflöjten av Mozart, arior och duetter ur Traviata. Kvällens gäst var revyartisten Karl Gerhard, som pratade och sjöng sin berömda kuplett Jazzgossen. Efteråt dansades det under kristallkronorna långt in på natten, till Wienervalser, Tango, Abba, Beatles, As time goes by och mycket mer... 9 people like this 0 people dislike this Comments: very nice! Midnattsmässa och Julotta 2011-12-25 From: Karl Kantor Vi har haft en hektisk julhelg. Igår natt var Felix och spelade på midnattsmässa med en sångare, cellist och organist. De framförde Barockstycken i Råda Kyrka kl. 23.30 för en förvånansvärt pigg församling. Knappt hade Felix kommit hem förrän jag (Karl) gav mig iväg till julottan i Krokslättskyrkan. Jag var väldigt förväntansfull, för jag hade på mig mina nya manschettknappar (Se bilden till höger) som jag hade fått i julklapp dagen innan. Tack vare dem kände jag mig självsäker och kunde spela rätt på alla psalmer samt hänga med på pensionärernas plötsliga förändringar i tempo och tonhöjd. Det var en mycket trevlig och rolig upplevelse och nu funderar jag på att helt gå in på kantorsbanan. Nedan kan du se en film från midnattsmässan på julafton. Vinkeln är lite skum eftersom de stod på läktaren och spelade. GOD JUL 2011-12-24 From: Felix Navidad God Jul från stringquartet.se! I morse var vi uppe kl.7 och sjöng in julen i Domkyrkan. Snart bär det av till Mölnlycke där jag ska spela Barock-musik på midnattsmässan. Nu sitter vi och fikar på lussebullar som vi bakade igår natt. På bilden ser ni en repetition inför Vienna 2 som spelas på Folkets Hus i Vänersborg den 6 januari, kom och se! God Jul från Kalle och hans vänner! Så imorgon åker jag iväg mot Vara för att repa hela helgen med orkestern! Rekryteraren var mycket noga med att påpeka att man absolut inte får ha med någon form alkohol eller droger (Så det blir med andra ord ganska annorlunda från våra vanliga gig ;-]) Ifall jag överlever rephelgerna, så kan ni komma och lyssna på artisten den 28/9 (Återkommer ang. tid). Bröllops-Trio i Fiskebäckskil 2011-08-27 From: The Three Musketeers Idag fortsatte Trio Hercules sin resa uppför västkusten och spelade på ett Bröllop i Fiskebäckskils Kyrka! Brudparet Marie & Urban hade valt en musikfylld vigsel vilket de gjorde helt rätt i! Vi spelade den berömda bröllopskören av Wagner, klassikern Meditation ur Thais, Kanon av Pachebel (till vincents förskräckelse), Elvira Madigan av Mozart och Trumpet Voluntary. Till vår hjälp hade vi Kantorn och en Trumpetare från Göteborg. Det klickade direkt mellan oss, och vi valde i sista minuten att göra flera grejer tillsammans. Det var ett lyckat val, och vigseln blev mycket vacker. I den gamla träkyrkan blev det en alldeles speciell stämning med lite dunkelt ljus, smattrande regn, rosa rosor och tända stearinljus. Vigseln var alltså inga problem, fler problem var det dock med resan. Det var ett tag osäkert om vi ens skulle komma hem eller om vi skulle bli tvungna att övernatta nånstans i Lysekil (var man nu gör det?) På resan dit och hem lyckades jag dessutom nästan gå av på tre fel hållplatser nånstans på vägen (mellan Torp och Björkenäs Håla) men blev tillrättavisad av en brysk busschaufför som höll mig lugn tills vi kom fram. Hon hjälpte dessutom till med stämplingen i det nya systememt, så vi inte betalade till Kiruna,vilket försenade hela bussen avsevärt.De tre Musketörerna bemästrade dock alla dessa hinder faror och kom hem till slut! Till och vädret, det värsta åskovädret på hela sommaren, överlevde vi. Mycket tack vare 2 lisebergs-ponchos som vi gick runt i i Fiskebäckskil och skrämde slag på Tyska Turister och inhemska fiskare mm... Slutligen vill jag bara säga tack till Marie & Urban för att vi fick medverka på ert Fina bröllop! All lycka i framtiden! Oscar Linnros at Liseberg 2011-08-16 From: Felix Yesterday we had the honour to play with Oscar Linnros at the Big stage at Liseberg. It is not exaggeration if I say that the orcestra really lifted the whole concert. Oscar normally plays only with his band, but he was really pleased with the sounds of strings.. so perhaps he will be using more of this sound in the future.... Bröllop i Skärhamn 2011-07-30 From: The wedding player /Felix Idag har stråktrion bestående av mig, Carl och vår cellist Peter Schöning, varit i Skärhamn på Tjörn och spelat på Christinas och Christians bröllop. Med stor bravur drog vi av nummer av Händel och stråkkvarett av Haydn. Stråkkvartetten som brukar vara standardensemblen på bröllop hade denna gång krympt till en stråktrio, därför att en av oss hade blivit sjuk. Och efter att ha spenderat många timmar med att ringa runt och försöka få tag på en violinist/violast som antingen var på masterclass-kurs i schweiz eller köpenhamn, eller skulle köra paddan, eller hade spelning på annat bröllop, eller slulle träffa svärföräldrar i helsingborg, eller spelade konsert, eller var på kammamusik läger eller var på semester på rhodos !!!, fick jag och Kalle sätta oss (natten till fredag)och arra om allt för stråktrio, och precis när vi var klara hörde ett av våra wild cards av sig och sa att han kunde, men då valde vi att köra sjävla och det gick ju lika bra om inte bättre!(mindre notställ att bära på också!) Vigseln blev väldigt fin, och efteråt spelade vi när dörrarna slogs upp och brudparet mötte folket. Som ingångsmusik spelade vi Kanon av Pachebel som vi "hottade upp" lite med hjälp av Louise Jansson vid pianot. Det upplägget blev succé, och prästen, som gifter sig 11/11-11 ville ha det exakt likadant. Det verkar vara på modet med stycket som får alla cellister på flykt (cellostämman består nämligen bara av 8 toner som går om och om och om igen..) Vi får se om Schöning är med nästa gång... Om det är någon som funderar på att gifta sig, så tveka inte att höra av er, det kan till och med vara värt att gifta sig för att få höra oss spela;) Till er tjänst ! A day in the studio! 2011-07-21 From: The Music Man Idag har Barbershopen "BATH-Quartet" gjort sin första professionella inspelning, hos en av Marcus kompisar utanför Mölndal. Det hela förflöt dock inte helt problemfritt, det började med att Kvartetten tappade bort sig någonstans mellan de 3 bussbytena och matinköpen som skulle göras på vägen..När vi väl var framme och skulle börja spela fick blev vi plötsligt avbrutna av parkskötare som skulle klippa gräset/blåsa bort löv. Han återkom hela 3 gånger, då vi tålmodigt fick avbryta och vänta, till slut tröttnade Ludvig och Marcus och sprang ut på balkongen för att be honom sluta, men det slutade istället med att Ludvig rev ner inspelningslkillens lampa som landade på grannens balkong...När vi sjöng fick vi dock till några riktigt fina inspelningar, som ni kan höra senare, så länge kan ni ju kika på dessa filmer:) Texten på den Über-nationalromantiska stycket Fansång av Wennerbom kanske inte är helt politiskt korrekt idag.. ("...kommer någon våra fjäll för nära och mulnar det i Svithiod då bröder, i vårt namn och gamla ära, vi hugga oss en väg i blod! Och stupa vi på ärans bana, om Hildur våra liv begär, vi svepa omkring oss Sveriges fana, i döden den brudtäcket är."),.. det är inte direkt nån "All you need is Love!" men jag tycker ändå att denna är så fin att den måste höras! Kameran blev uppsatt i all hast, därav den intressanta vinkeln... Två solokonserter 2011-07-18 From: Felix Onsdagen 13/7 åkte jag och pianisten Jonas Olsson till Vänersborg med mina morföräldrar. Jonas och jag gav två konserter, en på museet inne i Vänersborg, och en i Gestad kyrka senare på kvällen. Trots att Ulrich Katz hade arrangerat det hela så fungerade allt hur smidigt som helst. Vi blev insläppta både i kyrkan och på musset och det kom till och med publik. Jag spelade poem av Chausson fast den inte är riktigt färdig. Lyssna gärna på klippet nedan som är inspelat i Gestad kyrks. Om ni tycker att prästen ser otålig ut är det för att konserten var en timma lång och han skulle ut med sin båt till en ö i vänern där han skulle sova under bar himmel.... Draknästet 2011-07-09 From: Carl Har jobbat och slitit en hel vecka till med att bära pianon och kompromissa med prima ballerinor. Som kultursommar jobbare så arbetar jag dels med ett nummer där vi kör dans och musik men min ensamble är även ansvariga för ljudeffekterna i den stumteatern draknästet. Sommarkulturjobb 2011 2011-07-04 From: Felix Calle och hans gäng hade sitt första framträdande på stan idag, utanför stadsbiblioteket. Det lät hur bra som helst och Dans-Josefina hittade stämningen precis. I två veckor dag ut och dag in ska dom köra samma nummer så det blir svårt att missa.... Me and my brother celebrated playing old traditional Swedish "folk" music with one of Swedens most famous folk musician, Einar Hansander. We stayed with Doris and there we had a little party// can not tell you here what happened//. The next day we all went to Blanketorpet (in Dalsland) where we played together with Einar at an outdoor service. Dalhalla Taxi bombay 2011-06-20 From: Felix I helgen var jag i Dalhalla och kompade Peter Johansson. Scenen ligger 70 meter under jorden och var man än tittade såg man berg..... Vi spelade hela natten , biljard jag, Mika, Peter Schoening och Omar. På vägen hem körde chaffisen som värsta dåren. Dirigentens barn kräktes och mådde dåligt och blåset var på väg att ta över bussen från Dragan. Good bye IHGR 2011-06-10 From: Felix I dag 10/6 sjöng vi för avgångseleverna på IHGR. Lite roligt var det för det uppstod en liten argumentation om vem som skulle sjunga först, vi eller lärarna (som också hade övat in ett nummer som vi helst inte ska prata mer om). Dom ville i vilket fall som helst inte sjunga efter oss, och det kan man ju förstå. Dom tjatade och höll på(lärarna alltså). Men då bestämde IHGRs kårordförande Hugo helt enkelt ordningen. The Wedding Quartet 2011-06-09 From: Felix På lördag ska jag och Carl (känd från GP) tillsammans med Peter Schöning och Victoria Stierna spela på min Mammas Kusins bröllop. Det blir både Mingel och vigselmusik med en repertoar med allt från Rybaks Fairytale till Bachs Ave Maria. Idag repade vi med "Bröllopskvartetten", för första gången. Storslagen konsert 2011-05-22 From: Themusicman För alla som sitter och kurar i regnet kommer här klipp från dagens konsert i Backa (utan en enda skottlossning faktiskt...) Klippen är från Vivaldis Gloria och nu grönskar det. Kalle är på väg hem från västerås efter att fått äran att kompa virtousen schönings celloelever på rumfestivalen. Herrr Schöning och Kalle fick också ett gyllne tillfälle att medverka i festivalens egen tv-kanal Igors Webb-tv. Så nu är dom världskända i hela Västerås Affärscentrum. Rum Festival 2011 2011-05-21 From: Felix Karl är i Västerås och ackompanjerar Peter Shönings celloelever. Ryktet säger att dom bor på en skola ihop med tre tjejkörer från stockholm... Eftersom dom inte har tävling med prispengar detta året kan det vara smartare att åka upp som betald ackompanjatör! Calle tävlar i Amsterdam 2011-02-26 From: Felix Calle vår pianist är iväg och tävlar i Hilversum nära Amsterdam. Han åkte i torsdags och första kval var igår. Bättre än i Wien! 2011-01-06 From: Felix Jag har äntligen börjat återhämta mig efter allt arbete med nyårskonserten! Söndagens konsert bjöd på mycket äventyr! Några dagar innan konserten fick vi byta ut cellisten pga sjukdom, och cellisten som kom såg inte noterna förrän samma dag! Tjugo minuter innan konserten upptäckte vår pianist att han glömt bort sin vita skjorta! Doris och han rådslog några minuter om att han kanske skulle ha svart t-shirt på sig (!) men Doris körde iväg i ilfart för att hämta en skjorta. Mitt i allt detta hade jag glömt att jag faktiskt hade en extra skjorta med mig(!). Men jag var upptagen med att gå runt och lägga ut all rekvisita och att hitta förlorad rekvisita som försvunnit då vår värd (som var väldigt behjälplig i övrigt) hade lagt in all vår packning och rekvisita lite huller om buller i vår loge. Men föreställningen gick galant! och all rekvisita föll på plats. Men något annat som också föll, till vår förskräckelse, var notställen som mitt under föreställningen började falla som furor (men smidig som man är skämtade man ju bort det hela lite snyggt). På dansmusiken kom vi igång på riktigt och Oskars hatt flög o far och Johan tog i så att taket lyfte! Min åsikt är att han spelar abba-låtarna med mer känsla och skickligare hand än Benny Andersson själv. Tack säger vi till Johan som höll ihop mycket även i föreställningen med sitt säkra komp! Ja, detta var sannerligen en fantastisk och lite udda kväll som vi bjöd på i Folkets hus. Nu hoppas vi på turné!! Vi litar på Doris!! Grammas christmas buffet rules 2010-12-19 From: Felix Wednesday night (15/12) me and my barbershop quartet were singing christmas songs for the guests at the Radison Hotel. Afterwards, we were invited to their christmas buffet. I have to say, it was a great disappointment. Drunk high-society-people all tried to get as much as possible of the pate. Great week in Berlin 2010-08-02 From: Carl Sorry this is coming out a little late, have been a little busy... Berlin was really great! (For you who doesnt know, i was in berlin at a piano festival juny 20:nd) The place where we played were in 'Stadtmitte', the center of the town... Everything went well, and my songs worked out good. The day after the festival, i managed to get a masterclass with one of my teachers friends, Ulugbek Palnvanov. That guy´s really great. He gave me some excellent tips! Some that will be useful on my next trip, to Newcastle in The UK in november. Hopefully the piano-playing will be working out there too, but you could also hope that my english will be improved a bit... Concert * two 2010-05-17 From: Felix Out in nowhere where I actually have been before at Tjörn there is a church called Stenkyrka. Do not ask me how we ended up there, but we gave a concert 15/5 at seven we thought. It ws not exactly crowded but at eight more people started to appear. Someone had made an misstake in announcing the consert. In some papaers it said seven in other eight... But we played everything a second round. Calle can play his pieces really fast you know.. Actually he got critisized by teh Steinway jury for playing to fast, but here it came in really handy. So we were in time for the ride back to Stenungsund with the taxidriver from Bosnia..On the way back Louise told us that Peter Schöning had been chased by robbers in Mölndal. Vincent dropped his notes 2010-03-08 From: Carl and guess who picked them up??? Yes Dudamel himself. This was supposed to be just another ordinary gig at residentet for "kulturutskottet" or something like that. But guess who was there, shaking our hands an everything.... O boy I wished I had been better prepered.. he stood two meters from me ..the whole time we played.. We played shubert trio and rosamunda. He seemed really interested and all.. and everything worked out just find due to Tove Bagge (thanks alot Tove). Because unfortunately this morning I suddenly realised that I had my viola in Vanersborg. Since the resident (and myself) was in Gothenburgh and rosamunda does not sound to good without a viola and me, this was a big problem. (the fact that the train stopped working due to a train accident satrurday night did not improve matters). But Tove Bagge actually let me borrow her viola and I do not know how many hours she had to wait for me and the viola, so I guess I owe her a big favour. Felix's solo concerts 2010-02-19 From: Felix Felix Bäckström, together with The Famous Trio Hercules, is going to have two concerts next week. The first in Folkets Hus - Festsalen (22/2 19:00) in Vänersborg, and the second at Artisten - Stora Salen (25/2 12:15). The concerts are going to be mixed with solo and chambermusic reportoire and are a result of Felix's project work. Vienna is coming to Vbg 2010-01-03 From: Carl Next year, there will be a big concert in Vänersborg. Doris Forsdahl has come up with a brilliant idea to arrange a new year concert influenced by the famous annual concert in Vienna. This will be a concert with great dance numbers, Champagne Polkas and Opera arias. Felix, apparently, has to teach everybody to dance wiener waltz, and I´m sure there´ll be some ballet solos by him too... Personally, I´m putting together the orchestra, Anyone interested?... Results from Stockholm... 2009-11-29 From: Carl It went pretty well on the concert in Stockholm, in fact, after that I got plenty of offers to play at different competition around europe. I Berwaldhallen with OMP 2009-10-31 From: Carl For the first time in my life I am in our capital city. And for the first time, but not last for sure, I am playing in Berwaldhallen. And we will be recorded by svt and SR(swedish television and radio!). I have to play viola of course but actually I noticed one big advantage with viola. If you are being filmed, as we often are, and if the conductor does not get in the way which he often does, the viola player will be sort of in the center of the picture all the time. Ricklunds keys disappeared 2009-10-24 From: Carl Wednesday 21/10 was a day of return to the past. My quartet, consisting of Felix, Vincent and Ting and myself, went to Brunnsboskolan together with our teacher the big and famous Per nystrom. The mission I agree was a bit unclear. I mean I dont really know what we were doing there but I met some of my old friends and my old teacher music Kerstin. As a matter of fact I have not got a degree in music yet so I still have to act very polite and all. Can anybody understand why she confide her keys to my older brother? Of course he forgot to return them. Anyway we played some music for the savages, Shostakovich and Schubert, and I think they actually liked it. We just love Shostakovich! 2009-10-15 From: Felix Yesterday was a big day for Trio Hercules. We had a great consert in Norska Sjomans kyrkan. I think the pianist was outstanding, but I have to admit I was very nervous. Specially after I noticed that Ola Brandelius was in the audience and the whole board of "Vastsvenska kulturfonden". But they did actually allright, seemed interested and focused all time and so and they did not leave until the consert was finished. And Martin Bagge dont be too depressed that you missed it(Vincent by the way did not miss a single tune, reliable as always) you can see it all at our web-tv. By the way Ola Brandelius sent us a comment at facebook "Hej, grabbar! Tack för en jättbra konsert i kväll i norska sjömanskyrkan! Speciellt kul var det att höra Sjostakovitj, fast de andra bitarna gjorde ni också fint, givetvis. Lycka till med trion i fortsättningen, jag kommer att hålla koll på er! Trio Poseidon are worried! 2009-09-29 From: Carl Guess who mailed me and wished us good luck at the concert 14/10??? The famous Per Lundberg who is the most important member in Trio Poseidon. I actually mailed him first and invited him to the concert but he answered!!! He think that we have a very nice name and he wrote that there now exsists two "divine" piano trios. But he said he was a little worried about the fact that our goal is to reach the heights of Poseidon. Felix, my older brother? 2009-09-05 From: Carl The school has started again. YEES! But I have two exams left at my old school. Then (on wednesday) I will move to the famous city Vanersborg together with my "older" brother(see picture). Even if all rooms were gone Bjorn Hard managed to get me one. He actually cleared out an office in order to provide some space. So I will actually be living in an office? Felix is not going to spend so much time there I hope, He can be so "much older" sometimes and besides he is not fit to spend time in an office, he likes it better on an big stage somewhere. New adventures with trio Hercules 2009-08-22 From: Felix Yesterday(21/8-09) Trio Hercules went directly from the rehersal of the opera "paperflowers" about the "Iron curtain" to ther rehersal of the opera Dalkullan in Vanersborg(about the krim-war). 4 concerts at the same day 2009-07-30 From: Felix This thusday 28/7 Carl and Alexander had four concerts in Vanersborg. Carl left really early in the morning with too many sandwiches in his bag. He had not touched the piano at all last month because he is studing really hard this summer to pass the "grundskole examen" in August. Trio Hercules will play together with E.M.D 2009-06-25 From: Carl The swedish popgroup E.M.D has the great honour to play with trio Hercules! This will take place in Göteborg 18/7. As I said we even play traditional swedish music for cash. For you who don't know who EMD are they played in the fantastic swedish music pop festival earlier this year. But they do not seem to clever because they forgot the rules and almost got themself dissqualified. Mannerström hates us!!! 2009-06-24 From: Felix The day before midsummer we went to the famous restaurant sjömagasinet, as we do every year, in order to entertain the guests at a breakfast meeting. This is really early in the morning, at about half past six so we have to get up even earlier, which is a pain. But it is sort of a tradition so we manage. Every year, and I mean every year it rains cats and dogs, it is also tradition. But we play happily for the guests that are lined up in a que getting soaked wet while they are waiting to get in. Even so they look like they are actually enjoying swedish traditional music played by swedish children with swedish summer flowers in their hair(can you imagine). Last year Göran Johansson actually danced into my violin (of course I took the chance and gave him my buisness card). So everybody smile at us inspite of the rain, everybody except Mannerström. He really looks like he hates us and want us removed from his restaurant as sooner as better. Can anybody understand why? Maybe he hates swedish traditional music or maybe he just hates early mornings? But I think it is rather bad manner to look so dissapproving at small children trying the best to amuse his guests. Last year he even booked an irish pop band where the memers looked very middleaged and "wanna be rockstars". But Bitte, who is the real boss, made us play anyway. My brother 2009-06-14 From: Felix I am really proud of my brother. Last friday he played 3 chopin studies at a Piano concert in a row, and this week he is working really hard preparing for two concerts in Vanersborg with trio Hercules. And we all know "the quality of the trio depends on the pianist" so it is some pressure to handle here. Besides, since we can not afford pre college next year too, he has to start at the program. And in order to do that he has to take his "grundskoleexamen" in August and that means studying school subjects all summer. I have seen the list with assignments... Mystery at Hvidfedska/Swedish national day 2009-06-09 From: Felix This saturday we had a rehersal at Hvidfeldska with Louise Jansson. It was really nice with strawberry cake and all but it did not sound to well. Not due to the music but the orchestra.. no comments. Vincent, Calle and I stayed and played some piano trio in the aula in the North Building. After a while we heard mexican music and Vincent saw a shadow of a mysterious person in the hall. And when we were to leave we were insecure about setting the alarm or not. We still heard mexican music but we called Loiuse but she said set the alarm anyway so we did that. We waited outside for a while to see if the alarm went off but it did not. But when we turned around the corner we saw an open window at the third floor and loud mexican music came out of it. SM RUM competition 2009-05-22 From: Felix My little brother is right now heading for Vasteras where he is going to competete with Beriot 7th violin concert. He really knows how to play that piece, but unfortunately he is going to play bach E major partita, which is a bit harder. Our mother is really worried nuts about the whole trip and it did not improve much when Per Nystrom called when we were aboute to leave for the train and told her that something had come up so he could not come with them. But I think they will be just fine without him, mabe it is even better because at least the will not be running after him when he goes out in front of the arriving trains....at least they will be alright until Emma turns up because she really makes things happen. So right know Calle, Yiting and Vincent are travelling bythemselfs in the middle of night with the train to Storlien playing card I guess. I do hope they do not fall asleep or forget the instruments at the train or something like that.. I really feel a bit left behind it would have been fun to go up there with them and played the shirt out of the whole bunch. I will do that next year. Right now I am stucked with the general and all. Revolution in Hungary 1956 2009-05-03 From: Felix Yesterday ( 2/5) was a very special and important day because we had our first rehersal with Louise Janssons opera Paper Flowers. The opera is about the revolution in Hungary 1956. The revolution was a spontaneous nationwide revolt against the Stalinist gouvernment and all. This revolution in fact has had a great impact on my life. One of the most important people in my life is indeed from Hungary and if things had not been as they were there at that time, she would never have come to Sweden. And that would have been a disaster for me. However the opera is actually about her family and all. I will not give to much away but the russian soldiers took their house and they had to live in an old barn. They were forbidden to work by the soldiers I think, but they worked anyway secretly with producing paper flowers which they sold at the market. We practiced the whole afternoon at Hvidfeldska and I believe this will be really great when we have practiced a bit more. . Louise had brought this mysterious person with whom she very mysteriously dissapeard.... However we stayed in the aula and played som piano trio until midnight. hard work all easter /cute cousin in town 2009-04-17 From: carl It is so nice with school holidays because then we have time to come together and practice really hard. My cousin Ofelia was visiting us during the week and boy did she get fed up with churches in Gothenburgh. Not only did she have to spend day after day waiting and listening to us playing in different churches but worst of all she was disconnected from the inet. Beatles to the bishop 2009-03-25 From: Felix Today 25/3 we had a very interesting gig with Trio Herlcules. It was the headmaster at Birger who had ordered the music for him and his guest at folkets hus in Vanersborg. When we asked our coach Per Nystrom who the guest were he answered very cryptically the count of Meckelburg, the arch bishop, Obahma, Dieter Mögenburgh, Otto Schlecht and Francus Paulus. He is pretty weired and he is always exaggerating but this was a mystery. We have to go there and find out, my brother said, he is that clever my little brother. Spooky night in Mariachurch 2009-03-14 From: Carl Bäckström The story I´m going to tell you is a story based on truth on what happened the 14:th mars in a haunted church called Mariachurch. My name is Carl Bäckström and play piano in the Trio Hercules. It was three youths, called them selves the Trio Hercules, that had an ordinary repetition, wich would change their lives forever... They practised the first movement in Beethoven Pianotrio no.1 op.3 and was just in the second part when they heard someone knock the door. It seemed as if everything froze to ice. Silence... Then they heard it again! What are we going to do? I said. Then I heard Vincent´s (The cellist´s) iPhone call. Felix peed his pants. Vincent picked up his iPhone slowly and carefully, and I could see his hand shake terrible. He answered. A wild night at Strand Hotel or a good night sleep 2009-03-19 From: Carl Bäckström In the memory of Olof Palme, a Swedish primeminister that was shot at a back street in Stockholm after watching a film called the Mozart brothers, we played Shostakovich Stringquartet No. 7 e at the 28/2. The night before we were rehersing, in Vanersborg, with the famous Zapp string quartet from Holland. It was really late and we were walking to the train (we planned to go back to Gothenburgh) when we started to think about the Schostakovich thing the day after. Vincent said hm... - We need to be back in Vanersborg at eight tomorrow morning. Then I realized that there was no way we could make it from Gothenburgh at that time in the morning. I thought again. We´ll have to stay over night! I realized this was a great opportunity to have some fun on my own in this exciting city. Said and done we checked into the best Hotel and Ulrich promissed to pay the bill. Thanks Ulrich! So we started to consume everything in the small little fridge in our room. Because on the fridge there was a little sign that said that the cost would go on the bill. Then we bought something that I can´t write about here. My mother might read this and she is really concerned about my cilium. As a matter of fact we practised believe it or not but Vincent is relly ambitious and organized.
